Whisk by David combines Pastry Chef David Tran's Vietnamese heritage with his Italian pastry background. Whisk, is an important utensil in desserts production for whipping eggs or cream.Whisk by David aims to marry both of David's loves, his culture and culinary arts. David prides himself on his ability to craft fun, exquisite, and beautiful desserts using only the finest, locally sourced organic ingredients. He is taking the best ingredients and the freshest fruits and creating for his community classic European styled treats that are balanced in contrasts of flavor and texture, low in sugar, without additives, and most importantly, can bring people together. Bringing a new gastronomical experience to all Vietnamese family in Houston, Texas.

It all started with a passion for pastries.

It all started with a passion for pastries.
Pastry Chef David Tran was born in Vietnam and immigrated to the United States when he was seventeen years old with his parents and two siblings. Making a new home in Houston, TX, Chef David was exposed to many people and cultures. With big dreams to chase, in 2019, David pursued a degree in Artitecture at the University of Houston, where he discovered that his true passion lay in the culinary arts. After obtaining his degree, David learned more in the baking and cuisine and he studied the art of baking and conquer Italian pastries. In Houston, he fell in love with the community and the availability of fresh produce from local farmers, in his own backyard; now he has endeavored on his life’s dream, owning his bakery, where he can offer his community fresh, delicious, and quality desserts that they can feel good about sharing with their families.
